A Note from the Maker:
Our Presentation Bible Case was conceived and designed by me, although it owes
something to the Family Bibles of the Victorian period. These were much larger and
less ornate than ours, which are designed to sit beautifully but unobtrusively on a
desk or dressing table (or in a drawer if preferred!).
As a church-going family, the presents that we wanted to give our twin niece and
nephew for their Christenings were Bibles. A Bible is a lovely gift on such an occasion,
but we wanted to make these even more special, and with a personal touch, so I made
them each a presentation case to contain each one. Since then I have improved upon
the basic design by sourcing some ornate hinges and clasp, and by using a choice of
different shades and grains of burr walnut.
There is also a choice of Bible editions to suit different denominations.
Of course, these Bible Cases and Bibles are suitable not only for Christenings, but
for Baptisms, Confirmations and Weddings, as well as just simply gifts to loved ones.
